Hello Penguins!

Some of you are letting us know that you can’t see the St. Patrick’s Day Party on your computers! (For a while I couldn’t see it either – but now I can.) The team is working really hard to fix this issue and the best thing to try is to clear your computer’s cache to see if that solves the problem.

We really appreciate your patience while we try to make everything green for all of you in Club Penguin!

Hello Penguins!

The Club Penguin Island is filled with green and over run by leprechauns and pots of gold! Its the St. Patrick’s Day 2009!

Free Items

You can find the first Free Item in the Coffee Shop! It is a Shamrock Hat and it is returned and is now not rare.

You can find the second Members Only Free Item in the Leprechaun House (check below for more info on the Leprechaun House). If you dance with just the free item you will play it (like the guitar or keytar)

Members Only Leprechaun House

You can enter the Leprechaun House from the Forest.

On the inside you can pick up a Accordion (the thing Irish people play), Click the Fire Wood to make the fire bigger and and click the thing sitting on the upper platform to make them it do a special effect!

Rainbows & Pin

You can see Rainbows at the Town, Snow Forts, Plaza, Dock, and Ice Berg

If you go to the Ice Berg you can see the Rainbow ending at the Ski Mountain. Use your map to go to the Ski Mountain!

At the end of the Rainbow will be a big pot o’ gold and the Lucky Coin Pin (Warning: This pins is very big and ugly. Pick up with caution)

Stage Under Construction

The Stage is Under Construction for the Penguin Play Awards starting March 20th!

Inside you can see some boxes and a Giant Penguin Play Award sticking out of one of them (just like the big awards at the Oscars). The Costume Trunk is also empty.

St. Patrick’s Day Party!

Hello Penguins!
Today’s the day that the green festivities begin, and there are a lot of surprises all around the island for you to discover! It’ll be up until March 17th, so try to check out all the areas… and let us know if you manage to find the end of the rainbow!

In other news: There’s some construction starting at the Stage today in preparation for the Penguin Play Awards show that’s coming next Friday. Let us know how you’re going to get involved!

Happy 77 talks to Snow Sculpture Artists

Greetings Penguins!

There’s tons of excited chatter about the Snow Sculpture Submissions and lots of you are sending in amazing art! With all the buzz, I thought you might want the inside scoop from the talented pair of snow sculpture artists.

What do you look for in all the submissions you get? A great submission is fun, imaginative and makes us smile! But there are so many talented and creative artists playing Club Penguin that they’re all making us smile!

Tell us about making sculptures from a drawing. Is it very difficult? The artist who drew it did the difficult stuff. We get to do the fun part. First we transfer the original drawing onto our computer and create a black and white version so that it kinda looks like a coloring book picture. Then we take it and make it look like it’s made of ice.

If you added flavored syrup to the snow sculptures, would it make them into beautiful, yummy snow cones?
Indeed it would! However, you might unintentionally upset the poor artist whose masterpiece would be inside of your belly… 🙂

In other news: Don’t forget to get all green tomorrow for the start of the St. Patty’s Day Party! We’re really excited. We hope you are, too!

Snow Sculpture Showcase

Hello Penguins!

Calling all artists! Remember how Gary left all that snow in the Lodge Attic? It’s going to be put to good use. We’re so excited to tell you that starting March 20 you’ll see some snow sculptures – sculptures inspired by art that you send in! Each week for 3 weeks, snow artists will create 5 new snow sculptures that’ll be displayed in spots all over the island. In total, 15 lucky winners will have their sculptures and penguin names showcased, and they’ll also receive 10,000 coins! To enter, send your creative, unique art to sculptures@clubpenguin.com. Make sure there are no words in your drawings!

Club Penguin DS Coming to UK!

Hello Penguins!

So many of you from the UK have been waiting to get the Club Penguin Nintendo DS Game: Elite Penguin Force… and the team’s been working really hard to get it to you. We’re very excited to finally tell you that this Friday, March 13, it’ll be available in the UK!!

In the UK, it’ll be available at stores including: GAME; Argos; ASDA; Toys”R”Us; HMV. It’ll also be online at: Disneystore.co.uk; Play.com; Amazon.co.uk.
Check the Toy page on Friday for an updated list of places you can get it! And don’t forget that the game comes with a code – you can enter it in Club Penguin to unlock something special. Starting Friday, the tradition of the Club Penguin St. Patrick’s Day Party continues! We hope you’ll join in the green celebrations this weekend!!

Tell Us About Puffles

A lot of you have written to us about puffles over the last month. We’ve had puffles playing in new ways with furniture, a puffle video, a party for your puffles, and now there’s a brand new white puffle to adopt.
